ABOUT JOHN M. GREEN

John M. Green is the author of 7 thrillers where crime, the arts, geopolitics and spectacle can collide, and where reputation is the most lethal weapon: Staged, Framed, Double Deal, The Tao Deception, The Trusted, Born to Run and Nowhere Man.

John left his day job as a banker before the global financial crisis – with enough of a lag so no one could accuse him of starting the whole mess! He wrote his first novel about it.

In his childhood, he rolled through the seamy back alleys of Sydney’s infamous and colourful Kings Cross, perfect training wheels for writing crime fiction, and also his professional careers. The first was in law (as a partner in two major law firms), and later in finance (as an executive director in a leading investment bank).

As well as writing, John’s interests also straddle the arts, business and philanthropy. He is or has been a director of numerous organisations, listed and unlisted, including cyber-security, financial services, education, engineering, professional services, publishing and not-for-profits, and has supported numerous arts organisations. He’s been a Council Member of the National Library of Australia, a member of the Australian Takeovers Panel, and a director of two publishing houses.

He’s also an aficionado of magic and mentalism. He lives in Sydney with his wife, the sculptor Jenny Green.
